What is OmniRide?

OmniRide Bus DowntownOmniRide is PRTC's commuter bus service. OmniRide offers convenient weekday (Monday - Friday) service (excluding some holidays) from locations throughout Prince William County along the I-95 corridor and Manassas and Gainesville areas along the I-66 corridor to destinations that include the Pentagon, Crystal City, Rosslyn/Ballston, downtown Washington, D.C., Capitol Hill, the Washington Navy Yard and Tysons Corner. In addition to morning and evening commuter service, midday service is available on most routes. For your convenience, OmniRide buses serve designated commuter lots near major thoroughfares.   See the schedules for hours of operation for each route.

What is Metro Direct?

Metro Direct buses provide weekday connecting service to nearby Franconia-Springfield and Tysons Corner Metrorail Stations. The service is a great fit for commuters with non-traditional work schedules and those who need midday commuting options. Metro Direct is perfect for day trips into Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C., while avoiding the stress and congestion of traveling on I-95 or I-66. There are three Metro Direct routes. See the schedules for hours of operation for each route.

Prince William Metro Direct

Metro Direct Bus at Franconia Springfield Metro StationThe Prince William Metro Direct provides all day service Monday-Friday, connecting the Franconia-Springfield Metro station to points in eastern Prince William County, including the Horner Road Commuter Lot, Potomac Mills Mall, PRTC's Transit Center and the Route One corridor.

Buses also operate on Saturdays, only serving stops at the Metro station and the PRTC Transit Center and Potomac Mills Mall.  Saturday service is funded entirely by Virginia Megaprojects, which is a partnership between the Virginia Department of Transportation and the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation.  Fares are FREE on Saturdays through the end of summer 2014 to provide an alternative to driving on I-95/I-395 when the HOV lanes are closed for construction of the 95 Express Lanes.

Manassas Metro Direct

The Manassas Metro Direct provides all-day service Monday-Friday, between the Manassas area and the Tysons Corner Metro Station. Stops include Manassas Mall, the Manassas VRE Station and Manassas Junction Shopping Center.

Linton Hall Metro Direct

The Linton Hall Metro Direct provides weekday, rush hour service between Gainesville and the Tysons Corner Metro Station - the perfect relief to the congestion and stress of I-66! Buses serve stops along the Linton Hall corridor and the Cushing Road Commuter Lot, then travel express on I-66 to the Metro Station.
