Whether you are new to the area or are just looking for transit alternatives - this is the place to start. Use this page as a starting point to learn more about the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC) and the transit service we provide for Prince William and Manassas area residents.

Getting Started

To get to know us take a quick tour of our site:

OmniRide - comfortable and efficient commuter bus service from eastern Prince William County and the Manassas area to downtown Washington, the Pentagon, Crystal City, Rosslyn/Ballston, Capitol Hill, Washington Navy Yard and Tysons Corner.

Metro Direct - an all-day connection to the Franconia-Springfield Metro Station from eastern Prince William or to the Vienna and West Falls Church Metro from Manassas or to the West Falls Church Metro Station from Gainseville.

OmniLink - an innovative local bus service that allows buses to travel up to 3/4 mile off of the standard route, in addition to designated bus stops.  An instructional video about how to use the OmniLink bus service is posted on our YouTube channel in English and Spanish.

Cross County Connector -- offers weekday connections between eastern Prince WilliamCounty and the Manassas area.

OmniMatch - a FREE ridematching service for carpoolers and vanpoolers.

SmarTrip - easy-to-use fare payment card.

Service Updates - all the latest service related information, like emergency service and route changes.

MyPRTC - provides your own personal view of PRTC services.  It allows you to customize your experience on this website to display the information you need.

Rider Tools - a set of tools to help you to calculate the best route for your trip -- provides assistance finding the nearest bus stop, individual route and stop information and Google Transit Tripplanner.

Rider Express - subscribe to get all the latest service related information by email or SMS text message.

Teen Summer Pass - A bus pass that's valid from June through August and allows teen-agers unlimited rides on OmniLink and the Cross County Connector for one low price!

About PRTC - introduces the agency and its composition, including a list of current board members.

Contacts - lists all the important contact information for PRTC, including driving directions to our headquarters.

Public Hearings - hearing notices are posted when significant service changes are proposed.
