The Virginia Department of Transportation and and I-66 Express Mobility Partners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 10, in Bristow about the planned design of a new park & ride lot in Gainesville.

The lot is planned for the northeast corner of the I-66 and Route 29 interchange at University Boulevard. The design includes bus bays, passenger shelters, bicycle racks, a pick-up/drop-off area, and future access to and from the I-66 Express Lanes.

The public hearing will be held:

Tuesday, October 10
6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Piney Branch Elementary School Cafeteria/Gym
8301 Linton Hall Rd., Bristow, VA 20136

This public hearing is focused solely on the planned design of the park & ride lot. Public hearings will be held in November on the planned roadway improvements to I-66 Outside the Beltway.

Park & ride lot design plans and project schedule will be available at the hearing for review and public comment. Staff also will be available to answer questions. Oral comments can be given to a court reporter, or written comments can be submitted at the meeting.
