============

PRTC was notified yesterday that there will be additional street
closures and detours around the Pentagon before and during Thursday's
9/11 Memorial dedication. We now anticipate that congestion will lead to
significant delays for customers traveling to and beyond the Pentagon
and will implement our Emergency Service Plan (ESP)
<http://www.prtctransit.org/myprtc/esp.php>  on Thursday morning.  Under
this plan, ALL AM OmniRide buses will operate service only to Metro
stations. On the eastern side of the county, service will operate to the
Franconia-Springfield Metro station; and from the Manassas area, service
will operate to West Falls Church Metro station. Riders will pay the
Metro Direct fare of $2.50 cash or $2.10 with a SmarTrip card.

Mid-day buses will depart from the Metro stations at the time they would
regularly be leaving from the Pentagon.

We expect regular service to resume on all OmniRide buses after 1 p.m.

If you are a new rider or just need to a refresher about how ESP
operates, pick up an ESP brochure on your bus or visit the ESP page
<http://www.prtctransit.org/myprtc/esp.php>  on our website
www.PRTCtransit.org.

Further updates will be sent as necessary.
