As you are aware, PRTC bus operator Darnell McPherson was killed on June
15.  Mr. McPherson's funeral is taking place today, and understandably
many PRTC bus operators plan to attend the service.

 

PRTC intends to operate regular service this afternoon.  However some
operators may not return from the funeral in time to make their
scheduled afternoon pullout from the bus yard.  As a result, a few buses
may be operated by supervisors, part-time PRTC operators or volunteers
from our neighboring transportation providers.  Although all operators
have been trained on the routes they will run today, they may require
some directional assistance.  Please offer your help if it is needed.

 

We appreciate your patience and assistance today, and offer our sincere
gratitude for the many expressions of condolences we have received on
behalf of Mr. McPherson's family.
