A few of PRTC's evening trips could be impacted by plans to reverse the HOV lanes earlier than usual tonight.

The HOV lanes on I-95/I-395 will be reversed to carry northbound traffic tonight, March 17, starting at 8 p.m.  The early reversal will allow the Virginia Department of Transportation to close two of the three regular northbound lanes for work on a new Pohick Creek Bridge.

VDOT initially planned to start reversing the HOV lanes at 7 p.m., which would have impacted more of our bus trips.  But now that the lane reversal is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., only the following PRTC trips may be affected: NX-1, NX-2, NX-3, and late evening trips on the Prince William Metro Direct.

Further updates will be sent as necessary.
