There's just one day left to bring your Metrocheks to PRTC and have that
value transferred to your SmarTrip card.  As of March 31, 2009, PRTC
will no longer accept Metrocheks.  Metro Sales Offices won't accept
Metrocheks after March 31, either.  However, if you have Metrocheks
after March 31, you will have a few options:

 

-Use Metrocheks as fare cards when riding Metrorail trains.

 

-If the Metrochek hasn't been used, OR if it is used and has a value of
less than $7, you can use a Passes/Farecard Machine at Metrorail
stations to transfer the value to your SmarTrip card.

 

Everyone who receives Metrocheks is encouraged to switch to
SmartBenefits, an electronic credit that can be quickly downloaded
directly to your SmarTrip card at any Metrorail station using a
Passes/Farecard machine.  Need more information?  Visit
